Since April 2023, we have been providing support as part of our 1% Make a Difference commitment to Forever Stars, an East Midlands Charity dedicated to supporting families who have suffered a stillbirth or infant loss. They provide facilities and on-going resources to support bereaved families to help families come to terms with their loss in a healthy environment that both enables the family to move forward and embrace the memory of their baby.
have embarked on a series of projects to provide comfort and support to families impacted by baby loss including the development of two Serenity Suites – one at the Queen’s Medical Centre and one at the City Hospital. These purpose-built bereavement suites allow families to stay together and spend precious moments with their families.
They have also developed the Serenity Garden, providing a special place for families to remember their babies and set up the Serenity Centre in Beeston, Nottingham, which provides workshops and activities for families impacted by baby loss. We also hold sibling counselling sessions at the Centre.
Supporting Our Local Community
As part of the Interimconsult 1% Make a Difference commitment we supported the Hope Nottingham Cafe at Hope House, Beeston, Nottingham. Our ongoing donations will be used to cover the full cost of the food served to their guests.
The cafe, run by the Hope Nottingham charity, prepares around 150 breakfasts every week and at the same time provides services such as citizen's advice, debt management, and an emergency foodbank.
The Social Impact Game
We have been supporting the University of Nottingham Social Impact Game for the last two years, first as Project Advisers then as a Project Partner.
