Interimconsult and RBD Advisory (RBDA) have joined forces to provide a vital platform to turn innovative ideas into sustainable value which will transform the rail industry. Together both organisations are offering a new consultancy service based on the Interimconsult ‘Making Innovation Happen’ (MIH) Framework.

The consultancy service is aimed at businesses, organisations and teams that struggle with unlocking their potential to systematically capture ideas and turn them into tangible and sustainable value.

Paul Corcoran, Managing Director at Interimconsult, said: “The challenge is the same in all markets, great ideas don’t guarantee great innovations.

“The MIH Framework can be used to change the way that people, teams and organisations look at innovation, the different types of innovation journey, and how to systemically turn ideas into sustainable value – helping deliver outcomes that make innovation become business-as-usual.”

The framework explores innovation from several angles – culture, business models, contagion, acceleration, marketing, collaboration, making innovation business as usual, measurement and management.

“We are delighted to be working with RBDA to build on our recently launched IC Innovation Club and offer a unique range of consultancy services using the Interimconsult ‘Making Innovation Happen’ framework. Our shared purpose is to help all types of organisations and their teams to unlock their potential to innovate.”

The new partnership, accessible via the RBD Community, builds, on Interimconsult’s recently launched IC Innovation Club where its members can come from any industry or business of any size. Standard IC Innovation Club membership is free and includes access to webinars, white papers, online tools, and templates. Premium corporate membership places include tailored monthly 1-2-1 sessions with an innovation consultant to explore specific business challenges and solutions. Corporate members can also create innovation clusters by sponsoring membership places with partners and suppliers.

Martin Little, Chief Operating Officer at RBDA, said: “Our mission at RBDA is to help our clients to commercial success using unrivalled rail industry knowledge, insight, and access.

“Working with Interimconsult does just that, ensuring organisations get access to a wide range of consultancy services to help them develop and embed innovation based on real-world experience and understanding.

“The railway is seen by some as a difficult and slow sector when introducing innovation, and partnerships like this aim to change that by making it an easier industry to enter and thrive in.”
